Looking for work in Thailand

Jeff, I spent many years in Thailand... your best bet is to just bring your gear minus s/s tubes...bring disposables. You can resupply in Bangkok easily.
If your in Bangkok then check by Jimmy Wong, close to Na NA Plaza.... his kids both Jack and Joy operate studios within a shopping mall still I believe.
Also, you might want to try and hook up with Chili Joe if he is in Bangkok and not in Europe, I have his contact info...send me a pm.

In general, you will find that your fellow tourist aka "falang" will be your best meal ticket in regards to making any money there... min price usually starts at around $10 bucks locally for thai artists... keep up to date on the local news... Thailand has been a simmering stew waiting to boil over for a coupla years now... The people in the north you will find to much more friendly as compared to the south... Koh Samui and surrounding islands are okay for hanging out... Chiang Mai and surrounding north area rocks.... Khao Yai north of Bangkok and Khao Sok in Surat Thani have always been my favorites of the national parks... both extremely beautiful and dangerous.
